• part of the Senior Management team and Department Head at the German-British Chamber (AHK UK),
  • P&L responsibility - setting budgets and targets, monitoring results and acting accordingly,
  • key account management for environmental consultancy service, increasing client base from 25 to 40 over three years,
  • streamlining procedures to introduce additional services whilst maintaining client service levels thereby saving one head-count - ca. £35,000,
  • successfully bid for several trade promotion, delegation trip and event contracts worth on average £50,000 each – clients include German Federal Ministry of Economics, UKTI, Landbell AG, Germany Trade & Invest,
  • IT planning and budgeting (including supply contract negotiations),
  • managing and motivating members of staff - four directly and 20 in total,
  • maintaining relationships with key clients, stakeholders, suppliers and partners.


Marketing and Communications

  • development of marketing messages, brand management, advertising and PR campaigns,
  • editorial of bi-lingual internet sites, monthly e-newsletter, Linkedln Groups and twitter feeds,
  • experience in web site planning, content development, and social media applications,
  • member of the German Chambers' global working group for internet site development.


Project work

  • Two day delegation trip to the UK and half-day conference for 40 German participants in the sustainability / urban planning sector, resulting in over 500 business contacts with UK companies and organisations,
  • UK partner for EU-funded Corporate Social Responsibility project, promoting CSR strategies, policies and best practice to European SMEs,
  • Trade fair stand and promotion for a German company in the environmental services sector, resulting in over 50 sales leads for the UK market,
  • Full day conference in the renewal energy sector highlighting German and British expertise in the wind energy sector by securing ten expert speakers and recruiting around 150 international participants.
